Using the format of guys telling tall tales around the campfire, EROTIC INTERLUDE(S) is little more than a loop carrier. Shooting on film rather than video is its virtue. Picture starts off promisingly with intimations of DELIVERANCE (including obligatory banjo music) as our motley heroes in two rafts go through white water in what looks like a dangerous shoot. Once they're back on dry ground the film falls apart, just a series of sex scenes presented as recollections by the men in the "can you top this?" category. Kevin James recalls a high school tryst with cheerleaders spotlighting Linda Shaw (who is too old for proper casting, especially with so many nymphet starlets available in 1984). Ron Jeremy's segment is kinky, involving Angel Cash (lactation action) and Aunt Peg -Juliet Anderson as secretary and would-be sec'y, ending typically with Ron sucking his own cock. Ranger's memory is about troilism involving him with beautiful women including Bridgette Monet. The girls talk about Burt Reynolds, yet another DELIVERANCE riff. Final flashback/fantasy is by Kevin again, recalling humping a wife while hubby's away -it's Seka.

Look, there's a gigantic plot hole that never gets worked out. Steven is a really stupid and bad man and yet this side of his personality never comes through as Stephanie. Even though, as Stephanie, the "man" knows what's going on and he also understands that he's in a woman's body. Do you really think this "man" in this "woman's" body would be so willing to just hop in bed with every guy?

The imaginatively fueled location is utilized exemplarily by François About’s phenomenal widescreen cinematography, and even the haunting, gently chiming music really adds to the overwhelming atmosphere of dread, mixed with mounting delight. This film is considered Francis Leroi's crowning achievement, and has become one of the best European adult films of all time.

The well-known morbidity of voyeurism is what Maestro Leroi wanted to convey with Jeux de Langues (AKA Couples Voyeurs et Fesseurs). For all of us who like this concept for its own sake, we must add the BDSM scenes that, without being especially harsh or “professional”, will fulfill the desires of a few of us.
The performances are weak, and the sexual numbers are erratic and poorly prepared, with absurd conversations in hasty contexts and without much meaning. But in the end, all that doesn't matter, because Monique Ciron, a secondary diva of French adult cinema, is shown in all her splendor.
That said, fetishism comes together here when Hélène and Henri become casual witnesses of the depraved acts of their neighbors across the street. They decide to borrow a camera and proceed to record everything live. Right until the targets realize their exposure, and invite the couple to take part in their games, in a final scene as boring as it is cliché. But until they get here, the tasty couple, fed up with their sexual routine, has already been doing dirty things with randomly selected couples in the countryside without any predisposition or explanation. The script is therefore weak and inconsistent, but definitely exciting.

I am Joyce James. I wrote, directed and produced "Driller." I' wanted to thank the lady poster for understanding that Driller was not a "tribute" to Thriller, or Michael Jackson--but precisely the opposite! At the time Thriller came out, my son was 4 years old--and was simply obsessed with the werewolf transformation in the "behind the scenes" of Thriller footage. I was sick to death of both MJ and Thriller and horror movies. I was also sick to death of porn movies with stilted plot lines--which were the staples of 70 and 80s porn. I foolishly thought I could turn everything on its ear--and make a gender-bending a Rocky Horroresque variation on Thriller.
My goal? To work with a special effects guy, Arnold Garguilo, who made all the appliances for "the Driller." Mostly--I wanted my son to see how FX and prosthetics worked. My son is still obsessed with werewolves--and has even played one in a horror flick!
Have patience on my poor little Driller. I overreached with it, no doubt. But still--the first singing/dancing/horror x-rated flick?? Yeah--I know! What's the market for that?

Taking its cue from Luigi Comencini's 1974 art-house hit MIO DIO, COME SONO CADUTA IN BASSO (a/k/a TILL MARRIAGE DO US PART), this porno period piece is one of the more ambitious adult films on record. Produced and directed with great care by Bill Milling (a/k/a both director "Philip Drexler" and his producer alter ego "Bill Eagle") who made this between his surprisingly witty SATIN SUITE and his frivolous fantasy DELICIOUS, it does a good job of recreating the early 20th century and more specifically Hollywood depictions thereof, occasional anachronisms (such as electric lights !) notwithstanding.
The part of convent-bred rich girl Heather was a breakthrough role for talented thespian Veronica Hart, just hitting her stride following her supporting turns in Leon Gucci's Seka quartet (PRINCESS, TARA, CONFESSIONS OF SEKA & SEDUCTION OF CINDY), and she brings out every single nuance as her character evolves from dewy innocence to knowing worldliness. As stated in her father's will, she's to marry handsome young Frederick (Paul Thomas in an excellent, brooding portrayal worthy of Vincent Price in his Roger Corman/Edgar Allen Poe heyday), the gardener's son who it is disclosed by the spoilsport family attorney on their wedding night moments prior to consummation actually turns out to be her brother!

AMANDA BY NIGHT isn't just the finest sex thriller the adult industry ever spawned, but this one also happens to be one of my favorite porn films of all time, especially but not exclusively because I'm a huge fan of its star Veronica Hart a/k/a adult producer/director/mainstream actress/what not Jane Hamilton. This great lady should seriously consider penning her autobiography someday. Considering she has experienced the adult film industry from every conceivable angle, it would make one hell of a read.
Back in her performing days (okay, she still appears in front of the cameras quite regularly but in a non-sex capacity) she was porn's finest thespian bar none and this film is her high watermark. She's Amanda Heather, high-priced call girl, who finds herself in trouble following the death of colleague Beverley (the late, legendary Lisa DeLeeuw) at the hands of a client she inadvertently enraged. Since Amanda's the one who set up the 'date' in the first place, she may be next on the culprit's hit list. Weary cop Ambrose Hart (perfectly portrayed by the wonderful "Robert Bolla" a/k/a CANNIBAL FEROX's Robert Kerman, 'Tracy' to Veronica's 'Hepburn') gets the unwanted assignment of protecting the prostitute. Once they get past their initial animosity, the two find themselves increasingly attracted towards one another.

Rick (a lively and likable performance from a surprisingly fit Ron Jeremy) runs a hugely popular and successful south of the border nightclub called the Blue Fox. Complications ensue when the corrupt sheriff T.M. Wade (a deliciously slimy portrayal by Jerry Abrams) demands a bigger piece of the action than he's already getting. Director Damon Christian keeps the enjoyable story moving along at a zippy pace, maintains an engaging lighthearted tone throughout, and milks plenty of laughs from the amusing sense of blithely raunchy humor. John Finegold's witty script boasts lots of hysterical profane dialogue and choice dirty jokes delivered by Jeremy while doing emcee duties on stage at the club with delightful gusto. The sex scenes are hot, sweaty, and strenuous. A bevy of lovely ladies helps a whole lot: Busty honey Pamela Mann, slim blonde Desiree Lane (her introductory scene in which she happily services a john is a total scorcher), toothsome Theresa Jones, fetching Kimberly Carson, and, best of all, the deliciously buxom Kitten Natividad. Herschel Savage contributes a funny turn as rowdy redneck Reed. Lazaro Valdez also registers well as easygoing piano player Jose. Jack Remy's vibrant color cinematography provides an attractive bright look. A bawdy hoot.

Belgian-born director Ted Roter, resorting to his customary "Pierre Balakoff" persona (for the more detailed itinerary of this decidedly oddball filmmaker, please read my comment on his PAUL, LISA AND CAROLINE), ripped off Chuck Vincent's hugely popular cross-over hit ROOMMATES wholesale with this lazy latter-day effort. To the best of my knowledge, he only followed with the marginally more energetic SCANDALOUS SIMONE with Kim Carson essaying the title role. He even borrowed Vincent's award-winning actress Veronica Hart (a/k/a director/producer Jane Hamilton) for one of the leads. None too surprisingly, she turns in the top thespian performance as insecure struggling actress Alicia, although she's a tad mature for the part) in what was to be her last explicit endeavor before retiring to directorial duties and non-sex walk-ons.
