I apologize in advance if this has already been posted on the topic.
This movie has always intrigued me!
Aside from the sex scenes, it's a beautiful movie, very well directed, I really like movies from the 90s.
The actress is gorgeous!
And it's one of my favorite scenes in a mainstream movie. I don't know why, but it's really hot!
This movie is debated on the net, and I've seen a lot of people who think that the sex scenes between the two actors are real. I don't know what to think...
Some say that the actress's face says a lot about her emotions and that her expressions are too real to be faked.
They cite in particular the very first scene, the moment where she gets penetrated, and a little later, an expression of pleasure which proves that the act would supposedly be real.
In the third sex scene, we only see the actor's genitals very briefly, I think that's it, it's very dark.
But why would she do it? She was only 19 at the time of filming and the actor was 34. And apparently the actor was married and apparently, it's without a condom! Let's say, in the 90s, people were less picky about this kind of thing.
I can understand that some people say that the scene may have gone off the rails. Maybe they hadn't really planned to do it at first, but in the heat of the moment, they decided to do it and the production team let the camera roll.
It's hard to form an opinion, the actress was young, she may have let herself be carried away by her emotions and when you're young, you're often more naive. And on the actor's side, it's true that it can be very tempting, the actress is 15 years younger than him, she's young, attractive. He may have said to himself that this would probably be his only opportunity to sleep with a non-Asian woman, so he might as well seize the opportunity despite the risks. And those were different times. It's a guess, but I just hope that if there was any real sex, it wasn't in exchange for a promise, like “this will boost your career”. Those were different times, morals weren't the same as they are today. I've got nothing against explicit sex in mainstream films as long as it's done by the book, but I sometimes worry that producers take advantage of this to motivate actresses with false promises.
I don't really know what to think about that! Are people right? Fantasy takes precedence over reality, we'll probably never know the truth.
This reminds me of a similar case, that of the actress ''caroline ducey'' who would never have completely assumed having really made love with Rocco Siffredi.
I posted the full movie here.
