Thanks for the news—which is both good and bad. The fact that it coincided with the implementation of European standards misled me.I thought VEF (and Planetsuzy) got hit by the recent Dutch police take down of Motherless for CSAM? Not that VEF and PSuzy were involved in said crimes, it's just that they were unlucky enough to get caught in the same net. Their server was literally in the same block as Motherless, hence them going offline. There's a thread (i didn't save the link so you'll have to look for it your self) on Vipergirls where the mods from VEF & PSuzy are providing updates on the ongoing work to migrate their database. Also, both sites were, thanks to their age, using very old architecture (or something IT speak) and that's why migrating is such a pain. Alas, any potential permanent loss of both sites would quite honestly be catastrophic. VEF is literally the Library of Congress when it comes to vintage stuff, and for me personally, softcore stuff. PSuzy has the most comprehensive and accessible library of porn scenes anywhere on the net. As said, it'll be a catastrophe unheard of in porno net.
I'm not up to date with whatever thing the Euros have been doing, but I can say that my VPN often uses European servers (amongst others) and thus far have not seen any impact from any sort of "European standards". That said finally found the Vipergirls thread addressing the VEF, PSuzy, and corresponding image hosting site outages:Thanks for the news—which is both good and bad. Sendvid is impacted, also Imageban, and VPNs don't work.I'm not up to date with whatever thing the Euros have been doing, but I can say that my VPN often uses European servers (amongst others) and thus far have not seen any impact from any sort of "European standards". Here's hoping. The mods insist that the restoration is progressing, even if they won't commit to a timeline. Personally I'm most concerned with VEF, and though cautiously optimistic, I've also sort of braced myself to the loss of an entire generation's worth of vintage material that literally can't be found elsewhere. Bear in mind that the age of the forum, as well as the median age of the users themselves (most are older folks who *lived* through the 60s-70s), some uploads may be gone forever due to the fact that their uploader is also literally gone forever (ie. the guy's dead).Do you believe the site will go back online?
