Angela is the paradigm of free and liberated femininity. His ambition and his desire for more power and money is what led him to overextending his reach at the bank and ultimately to a prison sentence. Angela, on the other hand, lives in the now. She doesn't worry about tomorrow - she'll deal with that when it happens. She believes in living life to the fullest and experiencing everything as deeply and as fully as possible. In her apartment, a "living scrapbook," Angela exposes Bill to a whole new way of thinking. She explains how his actions at the bank had far reaching consequences for other people, something he'd never considered. She begins to show him how to live in the now and to really feel things, not just breeze through life focused on what will happen in the future. Angela points out to Bill that his problems were caused by the American way of life. For Angela, who migrated to the States from Nicaragua, a country that had been devastated by civil war, every thing she had or was given was deeply appreciated. As a child, she had very little: the Contras had killed her parents and her grandmother raised her. For Angela, the American way of life - always running, running after more money to buy more things and paying more bills - seemed so disconnected from living. She tells Bill that, "rather than enjoying what you had, you killed yourself for the future." For Angela, sex is another way to live in the now. Bill, raised in a traditional family where desires were hidden, had sex with his wife once a week and stopped masturbating in college because he felt it was childish. Angela, on the other hand, believes there is no reason not to find pleasure wherever she can. She wants to enjoy life as much as possible, and finds the greatest physical joy in life is through sex. She pushes Bill's sexual boundaries to open his mind to new experiences, and to focus on the now, not the future. Through Angela, Bill is forced to look at his mindset and his old way of life. He comes to terms with the excess of his American lifestyle and makes the connection between wealth and global policies. This German "mondo" movie has a TV host (Esther Moser) narrating and introducing various sexual acts from around the world. This includes S&M acts, a class teaching masturbation, a man who likes to pretend to be a baby and getting spanked by his mother and various other naughty tales. For years it was believed that producer Erwin C. Dietrich had directed this film but then it came out that Jess Franco was the one behind the camera but I must admit that I'm not totally sure how true that is. I guess we'll never know but there's not too much here that reminds me of Franco's style, although there are many experts out there who say this is no doubt his work. This film is also known as IN *) BETTEN UM DIE WELT, which translates to AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 BEDS. As you can tell, this here is pretty much just another "mondo" movie but overall I thought it was fairly disappointing and it certainly didn't match Franco's VIRGIN REPORT.

No, I didn't like the movie as I already have four different copies in four languages. This is so-called B-movie which in translation means you have to spend another couple weeks trying have other flicks with same actors and then its snowballing and finally you realize you are lucky not to watch mainstream nonsense. Lets see--main chick has something you want but producer don't wanna show so you dig into biography and chick is into porno and you have to have it to have complete picture--yes, you claim its research, then you pay attention to movie and producer and find out that this flick was the only one with word decent. Then you pay attention to flick itself and ask why the heck he produce it this way and not another. Etc. Finally you look for blu ray edition and its not waiting. Whatever. World still rotates in same direction.

My seven stars at not for the acting performance and also not for the pictures and and the storyline. So why did i decide to give 7 stars? The intention here was not to make a Hollywood blockbuster. The genre is not a drama, a comedy or tragedy it is an adult movie and it should be nothing else. They wanted to create a different kind of porn, a movie where the actors and actresses have real sex that is not only the one action which you can see only on every porn side and you can feel that through the movie. It's a porn you can - but doesn't have to watch as whole movie. It gives you chills and is also kind of funny because often it makes fun of the standard porn Industry. It's not a good movie but it's a good adult movie and that's what they wanted I think.

Ana, Mon Amour (Anna, My Love) is a Romanian drama, inspired by a Romanian novel, Luminata, My Love. In many ways, it's a typical European art-house drama: a narrow, intense love story, very emotional scenes, jumps in time, some religious and intellectual discussions here and there, etc... The screenplay is excellent, as are the acting and direction. I liked this film much more than Child's Pose (and any recent Romanian film I've seen such as Bacalaureat or The Death of Mr. Lazarescu). It might even be better than Tuesday After Christmas. Honest and illuminating, with a damaged, melancholic streak running right through the whole film. 'Ana, mon amour' won the prestigious Silver Bear (runner up) award at the most recent Berlin Film Festival, and is highly recommended for lovers of European art-house cinema. 'Chapeau,' as we say here in France... (translation: you have my deep respect for your fine work).

What does life taste like? For the 40-year-old Nikki, this question can be answered very simply: after semen. She runs a video blog and travels through the countryside in search of people and their stories with their Land Rover. She interviews the most diverse people letting them tell about their lives. Life tastes different for everyone, because where desires and longings differ, so is the view of life. Uncommented, Nikki lets people speak, gives them a voice, only to take control again. The cheerful lady is the link between the most varied stories. The stories are different, at best to be described as loose fragments, which then content again down so without sense and reason to the audience, that this is literally pushed off the head. There are two ladies lying naked on a rock talking about Bockwurst, a man in the forest confronted with his possible impotence, or a lady on a couch who knees on her head a few minutes later located between the legs of an elderly gentleman. The film portrays life in an associative collage about the topics of sex and relationship, guilt and religion, meaning and nonsense of conventions - and thus gives a voyeuristic insight into the desires and desires of the protagonists.
