Thing I can really appreciate about this movie is how professionally it got done. The movie almost gets approached like a 'normal' and more serious movie, meaning that it has some good camera-work and some great settings and costumes. It's an erotic take on the Dracula story, that's definitely not original or anything groundbreaking within its genre but the film-makers still did a good job at making it a quality production, with lots of time and effort put into it, which eventually all pays off for the movie in the end. A great touch as well was the addition of some comedy. Lets face it, the movie porn industry often takes itself far too serious, while this movie seems to realize all too well that what they are doing is quite ridicules and nothing that would win them any awards, so they decided simply to have some fun with it. It really makes this movie quite an entertaining one.

*This original "Dracula Sucks" version has another one re-titled as "Lust at First Bite" that got extra hardcore sex footage, but it’s missing most of the death, violence and storyline. So if you want all uncut hardcore sex watch that one, but if you want more story with restricted hardcore footage, better see this ”Dracula Sucks" version.​

The problem for Gladys is that, after several sessions of intense sex with Romeo, she ends up madly in love with him, and when he starts ghosting her because he is simultaneously benefiting from Doris, Gladys's pubescent daughter (an Anne Magle who gives absolutely everything, personally, and to the delight of the audience), she decides to make a radical decision, whose final scene is the best of the entire film, more than anything for its dramatic arc and the final sequence that corroborates it.

Made to cash in on the notoriety of Tinto Brass's 1979 movie 'Caligula', Italian trashmeister Bruno Mattei's 'Caligula and Messalina' is packed to the gills with depravity. Despite lacking the hardcore action and graphic gore to be found in Brass's movie, Mattei's production (english dubbed available on in an Extended X-rated cut 101 minute version) is still fairly entertaining stuff. John Turner stars as nutty Roman Emperor Caligula, who commits incest with his sisters, makes his horse a member of the Senate, and executes the innocent on a whim. Messalina (played by gorgeous Betty Roland) is a power-hungry nymphomaniac who will stop at nothing to become Empress of Rome. She brings herself to the attention of Caligula by battling in the gladiator arena and it is not long before she achieves her goal, upsetting the Emperor's youngest sister Agrippina, who hopes that her son Nero will eventually become ruler of Rome.

In this quasi-art-film that plays like a voyeuristic soft-porn is a story about a sex addicted man called, Richard O, played brilliantly by the great and versatile French actor, Mathieu Amalric. The sex scenes are pretty hardcore, some erotic, some confronting, and some just plain weird, but fascinating to watch! These confronting scenes didn't seem to scare Mathieu Amalric, who was so convincing as the tortured slave to sex. In this day and age, sex can be found almost anywhere, most notable on the internet, and it was something that this film did not look into. Maybe the director didn't want to go down that path which would open up another can of worms. Instead it looked into how a lost, wandering soul, can find solace in the pleasures of sex. How the act of sexual fantasies can be a perfect distraction from the harsh realities of life. Not recommended for the weak hearted, or the narrow-minded. But worth for the performance of Mathieu Amalric.

The second Bangkok movie by Dietrich is far less memorable than Heisser Sex in Bangkok. It doesn't have the entertaining dubbing and story of the first film. Instead, we get a typical sex film that has nothing to offer besides the usual stuff. The movie is about a group of male tourists and their female guide that visit Bangkok. Parts of the film take place inside an airplane. I expect to see that airplane-interior again because I have Dietrich's Stewardesses on my watch-pile. Most of the sex-scenes are dreams of the characters and are presented in a surreal way (slow-motion + psychedelic music). Speaking of music, the music in this is probably the best part of the film. It gets pretty trippy at times. So if you like psychedelic music from the 60s and 70s you might enjoy at least that. There's also a nightclub scene that is quite well done. Eric Falk is also in the film. He's always a presence.

Secret Key/After Hours resuscitated this porn film in one of its collections and it's a snoozer. Using a splicey print didn't help matters (running time is just 48 minutes as a result). Theme is swinging couples, about as corny a porn premise as imaginable. Dick and Jim, with their wives, an uninhibited blonde (Phyllis Stengel) and a mousey brunette (Cheryl Powell) go the swapping route. The big surprise is that for the opening scenes at least this is shot in the manner of an (almost) real film, with closeups, editing and an attempt at composition, rather than the real-time camera keeps on running approach of a 1-day wonder. Jazz drowns out the monotone dialog delivery, as they play a strip version of a board game, and this turns out to be padding, of the real-time variety. Very little happens to divert the viewer, notably Phyllis yelling "hurt me" during her sex scene and a third couple arriving (featuring Mary, a busty blonde played by an unidentified actress). Cheryl fantasizes a lesbian sex scene, featuring 1970's contribution to film history: full frontal nudity plus split beaver shots. Mary has a mini-orgy with three guys and the tone turns rough when Cheryl gets raped with a pool cue by Ron Dyer (playing Phyllis's husband). Cops arrive to end the mess.

This is a very curious Brazilian tape, an independent movie plenty of explicit sex scenes with plot and substance, like the old hardcore movies of the 70's used to be. I suppose this kind of cinema wasn't very used anymore in the middle 80's, when this movie was done, but even so the film fits perfectly in this genre. The plot is all about a theatrical play, called "Rebuceteio" (it's a Brazilian Portuguese word that doesn't exist in European Portuguese, but in the movie its meaning is said as "big confusion"), and its essays. The entire movie is just that. We start following, since the beginning, one main character, "Leticia", and her dream to become a Star in the Show business. We see their performances (which are the sex scenes) and the director's (Nene Garcia, played by Claudio Cunha) opinion about that. This kind of film, which has a plot based on the stage performances, was very common in the middle 80's.

Although "Six Swedes on a Campus" and "Amorous Sisters" seem to have most of the same cast & director, not to mention basic premise, they are different in content. "Amorous Sisters" is much shorter (about 65 mins), but contains slightly stronger material, and "Six Swedes on a campus" seems to be better made, and more of a full-length movie. In "6 Swedes", the girls mess around with the rather camp muscle-bound PE teacher outdoors, whereas in "Amorous Sisters", he's pounced upon inside. Perhaps there was originally one big movie, and was then made into two little ones. I'd say "6 swedes" was the better one, because the film quality is higher. Don't bother with "6 Swedes in Ibiza" by the way, it's rubbish: "6 Swedes at the pump" is OK, but beware of the "6 Swedes at the Alps" - the version I had which is supposedly uncut is too tame.

Endless, one-room nonsense that epitomizes the worst of what early softcore has to offer. Dredged up by Exploitation.TV for its streaming service, it's nice to see the title resurrected from "lost" status, but after years of being tantalized by the suitably sleazy trailer located on SWV's ACID EATERS / WEED DVD (among other places), it's a shame that the movie itself is so desultory. Film opens on a woman sitting meditating in the middle of an apartment. Soon a guy and girl come over, and the guy and the meditating woman get it on. Afterwards, he switches and begins doing it with the second girl. In tried- and-true early porn fashion, eventually another guy and girl arrive for additional pairings, and everything culminates in an orgy, again de rigeur. That's about all I can offer, as I became quite judicious in my use of the fast-forward button for the last 75% of the movie. You shouldn't even bother with that much generosity.
