"Betty Blue" is a small golden surplus in which the plot still provided the unease of a story sprinkled with erotic morbidity and explicit sex. Let's see how: Betty (Elisabeth) Hutton, alias Betty Blue in her literary projects, is a budding novelist stuck in a creative crisis, and feels pressured by her editor, whom she obviously sleeps with, which generates a toxic relationship from which she flees. When Betty goes to visit Giovanna, her best friend, at the boarding school where she studies, she learns that her father, a very wealthy Florentine marquis, has just died. But Giovanna's relationship with her family has been nonexistent for a decade, so she asks Betty to go to the family reunion pretending to be her, since with their physical resemblance and the passage of time, she could look the part.
Between sexual affairs with the servants, "adulterous" flirtations with the family, copious anal sex, and generous creamy facials, Betty settles comfortably into the mansion, only to discover that the old marquis may have been the target of a criminal conspiracy to seize his legacy. The traumas of an abusive rural childhood drag Valerie, an attractive young woman (superbly played by Annette Haven), into a state of disarray in her relationships with others. As an adult, she senses this psychopathic behavior, even with her husband, and randomly leaves home at night to wander around San Francisco's clubs in search of easy sex, sordidness, and exhibitionism, even becoming a street prostitute out of pure vice rather than economic necessity. The pseudonym Robert McCallum covered the late director and photography genius Gary Graver in this adult film (one of the best films of the "porno chic" era) based on a true story, but which any film-savvy viewer would recognize as Luis Buñuel's "Belle de Jour" its true inspiration. It's a dramatic and thoughtful sex film where the goddess of the genre, Annette Haven, shines brightly in one of her finest works. Graver handles an intelligent script with commendable delicacy. The sex scenes are invariably raw and intense, and the sublime and very feminine Haven appears very relaxed, even in the marital rape sequence with John Leslie. Kay Parker makes her sexless debut as the madam of a brothel.

As a foe of porn parodies (=ripoffs of copyrighted content) I was shocked at the high-quality, and utter seriousness of Jim Powers' "This Isn't Fifty Shades of Grey". Instead of the usual crap he decided to take this material seriously and run with it, resulting in one of his best films (out of a thousand-plus) since his ground-breaking "Perverted Stories" series two decades back. Much of his success with the project comes from perfect casting of Allie Haze as the virginal college co-ed drawn into the dark BDSM world of billionaire Ryan Driller, latter delivering his often tongue-twisting lines of dialog with amazing skill. Both thesps deserve to be starring in mainstream projects on the basis of these performances here, and overall this is the first (though I enjoyed Powers' "Diary of Love" rip- off of Nicholas Sparks material) so-called "porn parody" that justifies its existence among classic story-line Adult Cinema features.

This is pretty much the perfect hardcore porn movie: entertaining and unpretentious, showing lots of really pretty girls in a plethora of pretty ludicrous (by realistic standards) scenes. And luckily there is none of the verbose philosophizing that was a hallmark of 1970ies French porn. Madame Brigitte Lahaie has her classy brothel busted by the vice squad. She then sets up a school in which four pretty chicks are being trained in all sorts of sex acts. The course finishes with a school party, in which the girls perform in several theatre scenes -- but unfortunately, the fuzz bust the joint at the last minute. The nice thing about this movie from a modern point of view is that the sex is portrayed as pleasurable and non-mechanical. The atmosphere is relaxed and the "arms race" of modern hardcore movies, showing surgically modified and strangely overadorned actresses performing athletic feats and trying to push back the boundaries of depravity, seems blissfully absent.

I saw this film for the first time just now, but my memory of it dates back to when I was at school. Some kid was passing around a dodgy video CD of it, much to the excitement of my classmates. I never bothered watching it myself...not sure why, I guess it just didn't interest me at the time. So, now I've seen the schoolboy's porno as an adult, and actually it's quite an enjoyable film! For some reason, I was expecting this film to be a bit soft, and so I was surprised that Debbie Does Dallas doesn't hold back, and is easily as dirty as some of the 'hardcore' porn that I've seen. The plot focuses on Debbie Benton, a schoolgirl and a cheerleader. She wins a place on the Dallas cheerleading team, but unfortunately she doesn't have enough money to get there. This soon becomes an excuse for Debbie and her friend to take their clothes off (who'd have thought it?) and before long they've realised that they can all pull together and make Debbie the money she needs by forming a business in which they turn tricks for the local men.

After DEEP THROAT's devastating success shook people's perceptions of porn as some sort of ghetto-bound form of entertainment, its director Gerard Damiano in turn twisted those same people's expectations by radically changing course and creating what is still one of the most thought-provoking adult films of all time. Though it has been the inspiration for a Swiss soft-core reworking (Erwin C. Dietrich's DER TEUFEL IN MISS JONAS) and a mostly forgotten gay porn adaptation (THE DEVIL AND MR JONES, duh !), not to mention five "official" sequels and a recent remake (Paul Thomas' glossy THE NEW DEVIL IN MISS JONES with Jenna Jameson and Savanna Samson as the Horned One and Miss Jones respectively), the original has lost none of its power to shock over more than three decades. Of course, much of this is thanks to the truly amazing Georgina Spelvin delivering one of the most awe-inspiring acting and sexual performances the world has ever witnessed. A former chorus line dancer named Michelle "Shelly" Graham (spelling varies according to source), she entered the adult industry at a relatively advanced age – in her late thirties – and went on to prove that experience (she'd been married and a mom before entering a same sex relationship with porno performer Judith Hamilton) can make a real woman far more sexually interesting than any prettier and younger girl could ever hope to be.

Lasse Braun's first full length feature following a string of surreptitiously circulated loops revered by connoisseurs and collectors in the know - his PENETRATION a/k/a FRENCH BLUE was merely a collection of shorts offset by behind the scenes footage - remains the crowning achievement of his (in light of his reputation) remarkably checkered career, a prime example of the artistic style and wit that mark the finest of his fornication featurettes. Due to a short attention span perhaps, these traits rarely translated well to his 90 minute projects, most of which contain their fair share of sizzling sexual set-ups but also an all too generous amount of pseudo-philosophical self-indulgence that could only qualify as mental masturbation in the connecting footage. While the sex remains as scorching as ever, three or four decades down the line (cementing the late Jim Holliday's sacred statement that truly erotic sex never goes out of style), the director's soap box lamentations on the twin subjects of sexual freedom and the conceived conspiracies of state, religion and mass media to the suppression thereof have badly dated many of his movies in the meantime. To its credit, SENSATIONS contains fewer of these half-baked homilies than much of his subsequent work and anyway surrounds these mercifully brief interruptions with such a lot of lascivious fireworks as to successfully (if perhaps not wholly intentionally) drown out the director's dire diversion of discourse.

Several elements establishing the Marc Dorcel house style of porn are evident in this early feature (released just 3 years after Dorcel was founded), but the style and quirks of director Jean-Luc Brunet predominate. I had just watched another Brunet movie from this year, "Julie La Douce", with a close resemblance to "Charlotte". Both deal with rape and innocence of a young fille, set against a placid, even glamorous non-story set against a lovely French countryside. Essentially Brunet sucks the viewer in with an overall mood of pleasantness, only to suddenly inject violent rape to satisfy an audience's prurient interests, and then suddenly present an unlikely happy ending as if to say the violence didn't matter or harm anyone. I found this format of special interest when contrasted to the almost obligatory 1960s American softcore porn strategy (to counter censorship) of imposing a sudden unhappy ending (retribution or punishment included) to counteract the previous embrace of violence. It seems this French auteur working for Dorcel prefers to repress the violent sex with a sweetness & light coverup out of left field.

Bored and beautiful college freshman Laura (a personable portrayal by the stunning Hyapatia Lee) and her two gal pals -- brash stoner Maggie (cute Cara Lott) and timid bookworm Kim (comely Cindy Carver) -- decide to let it all hang out during summer vacation. Director Bob Chinn handles the teen coming of age dramatic elements with admirable sincerity, does an able job of crafting a dreamy erotic atmosphere, and keeps the engrossing story moving along at a steady pace. Screenwriter Deborah Sullivan draws the female characters with surprising depth and sensitivity. The sex scenes are often tender, yet still steamy and explicit. Kay Parker delivers a fine and moving performance as Laura's estranged and frustrated mother Julie, Eric Edwards likewise does well as Julie's nice guy lover Raymond, and Ron Jeremy lends his studly services as smooth womanizer Mark. Jack Remy's sunny cinematography provides a pleasing sparkling look. Best of all, the delectable Mrs. Lee looks insanely gorgeous and really radiates plenty of heat in her two major copulation set pieces. Nice groovy theme song, too. Recommended viewing for Hyapatia fans.

A belated entry from Caribbean Films and their former Playboy Playmate producer Gail Palmer, also this film's nominal screenwriter along with uncredited input from Bud and Hyapatia Lee and the late great Jim Holliday, THE YOUNG LIKE IT HOT bears comparison with director Bob Chinn's other forays into frantic fornication farce like his classic CANDY STRIPERS and the under-appreciated TELEFANTASY. Ever the deft dirty movie raconteur, on a par with the equally taken for granted Gary Graver a/k/a "Robert McCallum", Chinn's recipe for limitless lust proves refreshingly simple. Take a single, stereotypical professional setting (hospital or TV station respectively) and turn loose a large, hormonally charged superstar cast within.
For THE YOUNG, Chinn relocated to a phone company whose roster of operators all gorgeous ladies, save for "token male" David, played by the star's husband and future filmmaker Bud Lee are deeply worried about corporate plans to replace them with computers. The answer, of course, is to supply services that no computer could ever match and have satisfied customers contact management (personified by dense Mr. Fishbait, engagingly portrayed by dependable Eric Edwards) to pass on the good news and thereby save the protagonists' jobs. Night operator Linda Shaw, briefly spotted on a TV screen in Brian De Palma's magnificent BODY DOUBLE, gets the ball rolling with an under the credits desktop tumble with Herschel Savage before we move on to the story "proper".

Alex De Renzy (FEMMES deSADE, PRETTY PEACHES) was one of the greatest directors of adult films ever, his career starting in the late 60s and proceeding well into the 90s. So saying that BABY FACE stands as his crowning achievement is no small praise. This ranks as one skin flick that truly has it all : a complete story line, fine production, a couple of decent acting performances (Paul Thomas, Joey Silvera, Sandi Pinney as race car driver Tasha) and some of the hottest sex scenes ever assembled in a single movie.
Big, lumbering Dan Roberts stars as the hapless construction worker who has to go into hiding following his seduction of underage but willing Priscilla (Lyn 'Cuddles' Malone, looking very young but according to all reports over 20 at the time of shooting) which incurs the wrath of her religious fanatic of a mum (the amazing Molly Seagrim, real life wife of cult carnal creator Zachary Strong, taking over from THUNDERCRACK!'s Marion Eaton who got cold feet at the last minute). After a near-fatal accident leaves him unconsciously drifting in the bay, he is saved by fan favorites Amber Hunt (star of Shaun Costello's Fiona ON FIRE) and Linda Wong (unforgettable in Howard Ziehm's SWEET CAKES) who clean him up and then some. Hunt comes up with the brilliant idea of taking him to the Training Camp, a brothel catering exclusively for rich women and run by her aunt, affectionately referred to as the Champ.

A trio of steamy stories peel back Hollywood's glamorous facade in this captivating and raunchy comedy. The first story follows Mary Jo Harmon (Danielle Raye) from a small town in Oklahoma to the Big City in search of fame and fortune, but she eventually succumbs to the perversions of the business. Loni Henderson (Tawny Pearl) is an UCLA student who also dreams of seeing her name on neon signs, but when she falls for the wrong guy, she soon turns to the pleasure of pay-to-play and becomes one of the hottest girls in the porn scene. The final story revolves around Dominique Allwyn (Ashley Brooks), a high-class prostitute who prefers her job to acting, but film producer Jerry Kaminsky (Eric Edwards) finds her so irresistible that he makes her a star, despite herself.
Director Carter Stevens always talked about how he wanted to get out of the porn business by trying his hand at making a mainstream film, so he agreed to make this one as long as he was allowed to shoot in California, and the rest is history: while his career didn't lead him to mainstream cinema, he at least managed to deliver a fairly intelligent and funny film. The pacing here is gentle and ironic, and it adds some very amusing plot twists. This is still a parody of the ubiquitous American dream, which involves wanting to make it in Hollywood, but at least the sex scenes are used as a life lesson.

From that moment on, Barbara finds herself searching for a job to maintain her middle-class lifestyle, so she seeks the help of an old friend to get a position at his company, where she is systematically harassed by him. Her introverted nature prevents Barbara from finding sexual partners in her immediate surroundings, so she begins to feel attracted to her own teenage son, who spends all day fornicating at home with his girlfriend. Barbara tries to fight this morally reprehensible desire, but her own son, who even spies on her while she showers, doesn't make things easy.
More than four decades after its release, this adult classic remains strong, largely thanks to Kay Parker's stellar performance as Barbara Scott, a forty-something mother. Parker is stunning in all her emerging middle-aged glory. However, it's her believable performance that carries this film, which isn't always an easy task, considering some of the script's more serious moments (which require her to maintain a circumspect demeanor while the crew around her is splitting hairs), and some of the outdated attitudes, according to the demands of the role. The intensity of the sex scenes has rarely been seen on the blue screen, greatly aided by the believable age gap between "mother and son" in their incestuous relationship. Juliet Anderson is truly hilarious as Barbara's perpetually horny best friend, Gina, who can't help but be aroused by learning of her friend's incestuous indiscretion.

This is an adult film that follows a group of four Manhattan housewives and their daily adventures in sexual exploration. It's a fun and creative take on the classic genre formula, offering a healthy dose of comedy and bizarre scenes to keep you entertained. It all begins when Lori (the stunning Samantha Fox), Kay (a very sexy Kandi Barbour), Jane (Robin Byrd), and Leslie (Christine De Shaffer) enjoy a game of racquetball at the gym while being watched by a guy who fantasizes about them, imagining their first passionate encounter.
Richard Mahler (Roger Watkins) is a longtime favorite in classic hardcore cinema ("Her Name Was Lisa," "Corruption," etc.), but even when he's making a minor film like this, he demonstrates a rare talent. Although he achieved greater notoriety with B-movie erotica, Watkins displays an admirably light and carefree touch here with this highly enjoyable comedy about the carnal fantasies of four housewives and their respective husbands. The eventful, episodic narrative moves at a breakneck pace, while the playful, bawdy sense of humor enhances the fun even more. The sex scenes are energetic, exciting, and even quite imaginative.
