Restructuring of MSSBoard

Hello everyone,

First of all, I would like to thank @godmod for giving me permission to restructure MSSBoard, I really appreciate it. But I will not be doing it alone, since we as a community are basically what keeps this board standing, so we will all play a part on how to restructure it, so that we can make it as accurate as possible.

Basically, as we discussed in other threads, what needs to be done is rename and add new sections and categories, so that we can place the appropriate scenes/movies in the appropriate sections, in order to properly identify and find the scenes we are interested, with as less ambiguity as possible.

Users @sowbb and @Warfighter02 have already given a good breakdown of what might some of the sections can look like, so I will quote them below for reference and then we can take it from there to come up with the final(?) names.

@sowbb

"
  • No-nudity \ Sexy scene: kinda obvious. bikinis, lingerie, sexy outfits but no view of breasts, butts or genitals (neither male nor female).
  • Tame scene: you get to see only breast and buns, nothing more. Fondling, licking breasts, pinching butts etc. are acceptable in this category, as long as it's something you could see in the movie theater or non-playboy TV (e.g. PG-13).
  • Nude scene \ Full-Frontal scene: you get to see full-on nudity, either male or female, or at the very least you see genitals (penis or vagina). Merkins are acceptable in this category and also some light fondling, as long as it's not overly shocking.
  • Graphic scene: this is the rightful home of the "explicit nudity" scene. It's full frontal with benefits: labia, erect penises, legs spreading, zoom-ins on genitals etc. This is still just nudity and not sex, other than the PG-13 \ softcore-style variety.
  • Explicit scene: scenes that go beyond nudity and show convincing, but not necessary real, sex acts. BJs on prosthetic members (that try to look real, not obvious for-comedy dildos), sitting on a penis where penetration is not necessarily shown, lesbian sex scenes that don't necessarily show explicit vaginal penetrations or oral, etc. It doesn't have to be real, but it should at least make a decent effort to.
  • Unsimulated scene: scenes where the sex action (and there needs to be sex action!) is unsimulated and visibly so. Penetrations by fingers, hands, objects \ dildos or penises, explicit oral sex where you see mouth-to-genitals contact, explicit masturbation, closeup genital rubbing or grinding to other genital (e.g. tribbing), cumshots, etc.
  • Fetish scene: for completion, scenes where the sex act is less mainstream - pissing, female-to-male anal penetration (pegging), menstruation, gore-sex, etc. Doesn't have to be explicit but needs to be convincing enough to warrant cringes and a warning to potential viewers.

Of course, all these only apply to scenes from mainstream movies. Porn, Erica Lust, etc., as opium mentioned, are on a scale of their own... "

@Warfighter02

"
1) Unsimulated Sex - scenes with clear and unfaked sexual acts. Eg: penetration of a bodily orifice (vagina, anus or mouth) with a male sexual member (ie; penis). Included are clear and unfaked non-penetrative sexual acts such as cunnilingus and female-to-female scissoring. I would also include scenes which involve clear and unfaked digital (ie; finger) penetration, or that involving a sex toy or implements of the same purpose, on and of the female nether region (vagina or anus).

2) Explicit Nudity - scenes with clear views of the most intimate female parts, namely the vulva and anus. Eg: scenes where the actress spreads her legs and offers us a clear view in between them. Should also include scenes featuring the erect male member.

3) Graphic Sex - scenes with simulated sexual acts without any penetration of any orifice whatsoever, but whose sexual acts are realistic and convincing without the actors actually having sex. I would put Irene Azuela in Las Oscuras Primaveras and Megan Montaner in 30 Coins in this category.

4) Female Full-Frontal Nudity - scenes with revealing but mostly obscured views of the female sexual organ. Eg: the actress is fully naked and we see her bush and perhaps even peeks of her labia but not the entire orifice.

5) Male Full-Frontal Nudity - scenes with clear views of the male member in a non-erect state. "

As soon as we come up with the final structure and implement it, I will then try to slowly place the already existing threads in the appropriate sections at my discretion, but feel free to correct me where I might have placed something in a wrong section. I know it will take time but I believe it will be worth it in the end.

So, what do you guys think?

Looks pretty good, this will hopefully lead to less arguments between members about what goes where. A straightforward 'Unsimulated Sex' section will be highly appreciated.

Looks good but need some clarity on what is considered "Mainstream" - movies that are widely screened or shown on film festivals? Might want to have a separate category for Underground movies, e.g. films like Unholy Grounds, Vimeo shorts, web series "Morning Interim".

I think @Warfighter02 list is perfect. Just add a Sexy/No Nudity section. @sowbb is pretty good as well, I think it may be a little much. To many sections can have the same effect as not enough on figuring out where to post content.

Only thing, unsimulated handjobs, what would that classify as. I'd assume Unsimulated sex?

Correct. Maybe that specific section should be named Unsimulated and Explicit Scenes, refraining from using the word "sex", so that we can include all the relevant scenes in there without having to differentiate between sex, handjobs, blowjobs etc.

I will see if I can increase the prefix options as well to create a bigger variety.

This is an issue that I'm also struggling with as well. Do you think it would be better to create different sub-sections for all the different kind of movies/shorts? For example, in the unsimulated section, we can have maybe 4-5 sub-sections that cover the likes of underground, vimeo, web series etc. And we can do this for all the main sections.

I don't think this will cluster the forum so much, because for example if you are entering the unsimulated section, despite seeing that there are other sub-sections, you know that what you will find will be unsimulated. The same goes for graphic scenes etc.

My other concern is that let's say a movie has both an explicit scene and maybe graphic nudity in another scene: where should this be included? I believe it should be included in the section where the most graphic scene of the movie takes place, so that we do not have to split a single movie into different sections.

I think that would be too many subsections. Might just split between Mainstream (Theatrical and TV) and then Non-Mainstream (Vimeo, Webseries, Underground) for the 2 Main categories. and then for each the sub categories. I like Warfighter's list.

I think we are pretty much saying the same thing, but instead of creating a non-mainstream section and then adding sub-sections, I proposed to include the subsection directly below the main one in order to minimize the number of main sections we have.

New sections looks good, only one revision I would recommend if not already in the works. The prefixes for the Graphic Sex section should be trim to just Graphic and Explicit Nudity(or Explicit Nude if that's too long).

I changed them as you suggested, please let me know if anything is missing.

Revised categories look good. Fewer sections and subcategories but enough separation.

Thanks. Obviously I cannot restructure the whole board in one go, so I am depending on your feedback in order to make it as user-friendly and accurate as possible.

I also updated the prefixes in the unsimulated section, let me know if they cover everything. For example, penetration can include either sex, finger, object. I left explicit on itself in case there is a movie that covers a variety of the acts.

I'm not sure if 18+ serves any purpose though.

First of all, you're doing a great job IMHO.

Secondly, for the whole "how to divide the forums" question, to avoid chaos you need to choose a property of the scenes and divide by it. The current division is roughly by the scene's source (Film, Music Video, Other - a slightly random split) and then by explicitness level. The tags (prefixes?) should provide additional properties to search by.
When choosing you should avoid two pitfalls:
  • Don't split by properties with too many options. For example, "scene source" can be film (short or not), tv, music video, stage (and art / vimeo), unscripted (paparazzi and sex tapes) - 5 options unless I missed something, and "Explicitness" can be unsimulated, graphic, non-explicit, gay - 4 options. This gives 5*4=20 forums, divided into 5 sections - I don't count the (extremely useful!) chat sections. It is a lot, but manageable.
  • Don't make overlapping divisions. The above split has the distinct advantage of being, well, distinct. Assuming the trivial rule that if a movie has two scenes of different explicitness level the highest one determines the forum, any movie can belong to only one forum - a single scene cannot be both from a music video and a stage-show, and it cannot be both unsimulated (=explicit and visible) and non-explicit. However, a scene can be both "Asian" and "Explicit" making this division a poor one.

Thirdly, a few suggestions for the current split:
  1. Isn't the Asian section a bit too... specific? Shouldn't it be removed and merged with the normal forums?
  2. What's the point of the unsorted forums? I think that the unsorted scenes forum should be removed (it's like deciding not to decide) and the unsorted full movies should be replaced with a "Full movie" tag.
  3. The "Not mainstream" forum is misleading. I often found myself wondering whether I should post there or in one of the other forums. Currently it's used for paparazzi mainly, but it'd been used for documentaries, artcore porn and more. I think that the paparazzi should have it's own forum under "Other" (maybe merge with "Famous Sex Tapes" or turn to a sub-forum?), "Documentary" should be a tag for the normal forums and "Artcore Porn" should be in it's own section and contain all the obviously-porn-but-still-interesting titles such as Glimpse, Erica Lust etc.
  4. Can there be more than one tag for a thread?
