Plot -
Lazos de Sangre is a 1992 Portuguese drama directed by José Fonseca e Costa in which two young girls — Lina and Marina — escape from an orphanage in Porto and travel south through rural Portugal searching for Lina's father Alberto. When they finally find him living in rural Alentejo with his wife Júlia, the reunion quickly turns sinister — Júlia is cheating on Alberto behind his back, while Alberto himself begins a sexual relationship with Marina, Lina's orphanage friend, and gets caught. Most disturbingly, Alberto also attempts to force himself sexually on Lina — his own biological daughter — turning what was supposed to be a longed-for family reunion into a nightmare of betrayal, abuse and violation.
