Debate on the word "explicit"

I 100% disagree with that, but I do see that is the general consensus around here and I don't want to make it a debate if that's what has already been concluded. In the future though, specifying the type of explicit scenes you mean helps(sex, masturbation, fingering, blowjob, etc, or a more general sexual acts). Saying explicit scene is too open for interpretation for me, that would includes what you mentioned above plus explicit nude scenes. I couldn't find a way to write that without it sounding dickish, but trust me I'm not.

You are not sounding dickish at all my friend, don't worry. We do have a separate thread that we try to define what explicit means to us. I think we are more or less on the same page. A lot of people interpret explicit differently and that's very normal. What I am trying to say is that since this forum has a specific cliché; and I believe we must be the only one on the internet that deals so much with explicit scenes, we tend to associate the word explicit with unsimulated acts like the ones I mentioned above. Still, I agree, if the explicit nudity is as I described above and/or similar to the ones you posted in the other threads, then to be honest, I would consider it a semi-explicit scene? It's hard to define! But as soon as the said actress touches herself in any way, I think it the scale falls to being an explicit scene based on my interpretation.

Maybe we should have a separate section for explicit nudity, that is above and beyond the normal full-frontal scenes. Just an idea.

The debate goes on and on and on. To each his own of course, but do indulge me with a little suggestion.

1) Unsimulated Sex - scenes with clear and unfaked sexual acts. Eg: penetration of a bodily orifice (vagina, anus or mouth) with a male sexual member (ie; penis). Included are clear and unfaked non-penetrative sexual acts such as cunnilingus and female-to-female scissoring. I would also include scenes which involve clear and unfaked digital (ie; finger) penetration, or that involving a sex toy or implements of the same purpose, on and of the female nether region (vagina or anus).

2) Explicit Nudity - scenes with clear views of the most intimate female parts, namely the vulva and anus. Eg: scenes where the actress spreads her legs and offers us a clear view in between them. Should also include scenes featuring the erect male member.

3) Graphic Sex - scenes with simulated sexual acts without any penetration of any orifice whatsoever, but whose sexual acts are realistic and convincing without the actors actually having sex. I would put Irene Azuela in Las Oscuras Primaveras and Megan Montaner in 30 Coins in this category.

4) Female Full-Frontal Nudity - scenes with revealing but mostly obscured views of the female sexual organ. Eg: the actress is fully naked and we see her bush and perhaps even peeks of her labia but not the entire orifice.

5) Male Full-Frontal Nudity - scenes with clear views of the male member in a non-erect state.

Just my two cents.

Perfectly said. Although since you stated the example, in Irene's case, there's a very thin line between graphic sex and an unsimulated act in my opinion, since there surely is genital contact the way she is grinding on him!

It's a very interesting subject!

It's hard to define what is or isn't "explicit".

99% of the scenes are simulated and soft!

Classic cinema scene, you see nothing, no genitals, nothing, the actors are hidden by sheets for the most part. It's the classic soft scene.

Explicit nudity: for me, explicit nudity means total nudity, no sex, but the actors are really naked.

Explicit? I think any unequivocal sexual act should fall into this category, such as masturbation. I also think that an actor's erection, even without penetration, is an explicit scene.

Obviously penetration (any form of penetration). This kind of scene is very rare, and few actors are prepared to go that far.

And therein lies the subtlety, I wonder if body doubling isn't a form of cheating? Sure, the scene is explicit, but it's not the actors having sex.

I also wonder if from porn actors aren't a form of cheating ?

For me, there's a real explicit sexual relationship when there's no CGI, no body double and the actors haven't had a career in porn.

For example, in the film "chronique sexuelle d'une famille d'aujourd'hui", most of the actresses have had a career in porn. Adeline, on the other hand, has never made a sex video, nor has she worked in the porn industry. She has no connection with this milieu, she's a lambda actress, before shooting in the film 'chronique sexuelle d'une famille d'aujourd'hui' she had never had a nude scene and despite everything, she accepted the role knowing that she was going to have to shoot explicit and unequivocal sex scenes. And for a first sex scene, she didn't go halfway.

I don't know, it just doesn't have the same charm when you know that there's a body double and/or that the actors on screen are actually porn actors. I don't mean to denigrate porn actors. I just wanted to say that porn actors are used to displaying their intimacy, that's their job. Whereas ordinary actors aren't used to it.

I have even more respect for actors who have no connection with the porn industry and who accept a role knowing that they are performing an intimate act on screen, masturbating for example, make love together. It's courageous

FYI, we actually defined, in details, what explicit means for this board. You are entitled to your opinion, and are welcome to discuss it, but please follow the official guidelines when posting.

I think it's very easy. "Explicit nudity" would be between the legs. "Explicit sex" would be real penetration. Then others like "explicit oral, explicit, HJ" etc. Being specific rather than just using the word "explicit".
