A shorter version of Mektoub Intermezzo is supposed to come out in 2020 and Mektoub Canto Tre is rumored to be ready in time for Cannes this May. It's perhaps foolish to hope that the unsimulated cunnilingus scene is released uncut. Or that the threesome scene is somehow included (perhaps in Canto Tre?). But the director has a great track record, so I'm eagerly awaiting.

Yeah, if not completely cut, I believe it will be heavily edited. Still, if we get at least a couple of minutes out of the 14, it will be a big plus.
The thing is, she never accused him of anything. She released a statement through her agent that was very clear that she was not accusing him of anything on set. She felt betrayed because he had told her he was going to let her preview the footage before it was shown and he didn't honor that. It was anonymous sources on set (e.g. cameramen) that said that he got her drunk in order to get her to do something she wasn't comfortable with.
Maybe it's a moot point. But I think there's still some hope that the scene comes out in partial form at least.
I'm confused about these movies. I don't know much about them. I know Ophelia had a simulated (not real) sex scene in the first one. Then the 2nd one she received unsimulated explicit oral sex. That might be cut. Am I right about that? Are there any unsimulated explicit sex or is it just that oral scene? Then is there a 3rd one?

Second one had a 13 minute unsimulated cunnilingus scene with her that caused controversy and may or may not be cut. It also had a threesome sex scene (probably simulated but we don't know for sure) that was not presented in the version screened at Cannes and may or may not be included in the official release.
Third one is a complete unknown other than it may be screened at Cannes in May.
This is the same director who did Blue is the Warmest Color so he has a track record of pushing his actresses to go the extra mile. And he's been widely accused of filming with a leering male gaze.

Looks promising. I think it premiers 1st of April. It does look like there is explicit nudity and maybe sex based on the trailer, but it is censored in the trailer, and most probably it will not be by the main cast.
If anyone finds any more info since it is in Russian please share.
