Only one explicit scene for Irene Wendlin who appears in Butterflies (1975).

I think they might have used a body double foe the close up shots
This is indeed an "odd" approach
where the sex scenes are all 100% real, but the close-ups are shot with body doubles (mainly for the females though).
Yes I fully agree with you regarding a glimpse of real penetration in the wide shots. However if you pay close attention to detail in the close-up shots you'll realize that the texture and color of the couch are different to that in the wide shot.

Yes, I saw that detail too. But this one does not rule out the possibility that is the same actress.
This kind of close-up is frequently filmed in a different setting for better quality.
Furthermore, we can imagine that a sheet was needed to cover the sofa and hide the emptiness between the cushions.
I looked carefully at the close-ups and the actress's anatomy is very compatible with Irene Wendlin's anatomy.

Not so uncommon at the time.
There's many cases of actresses in the late 70's/early 80s that would ride the line between hard and soft who participated in explicit scenes (handjobs, licking but no actual viewed blowjob, long shot hardcore) but wouldn't sign off on close ups or money shots.
Hardcore closeups and money shots would be inserted into these scenes for Export release.

It says softcore performance but the scene in question, it's clear she gives a handjob and the hardcore longshots with penetration are absolutely her. The close ups and money shot however are clearly inserts.
All this was due to the varying laws regarding pornography across different countries.
Generally movies (especially European) were made in 3 versions...
-Softcore versions generally referred to as the UK versions due to strict porn laws in the UK at the time
-Regular versions involving longer scenes of nudity/spread shots, possibly genital contact and even longshot hardcore that were filmed more "artfully" lol
-Then you had the the Export versions that had longer scenes and if those scenes were deemed to be not explicit enough, full hardcore no face shots would be inserted to spice it up more.
-Technically there's a 4th version sometimes where films were shot completely hardcore but only released softcore and the HC version were not released for years or even decades later. Some examples are Flossie, Butterflies, The Danish Zodiac series of films and Alice in Wonderland the Musical.
Alice in Wonderland is one of the craziest examples of this as there were always rumours of hardcore during its filming but that material (full version of the film) took almost 30 years to be released and this of course was after Kristine DeBell had spent those 30 years vehemently denying any involvement in any hardcore material lol

, because it was clearly the same actor, Harry Reems, who did them (including with Marie Forsa). Also, actress Zoe seems even more clearly than Irene Wendlin to be the same actress in the wide shots and close-ups. Do you have any information on the date of the inserts for this film ? I would add that there are other examples of films where the actress, maybe, does'nt take responsibility for the unsimulated scenes even though, in my opinion, she is the actress who performs them, such as Katell Laennec or more recently Laure Massard.

He said the film was originally filmed as hardcore, cut to softcore, and only 30 years later the original hardcore version was re-edited and released.Thanks. These productions usually have more to the story. For example, (I'm writing from memory here so I might get some of the details wrong) according to rumors and interviews, Kristine DeBell from Alice in Wonderland really didn't film HC scenes for the movie - she did some private HC shoots with her boyfriend, AKA the director, and the asshole included it in the film without telling her. This is why some of the HC scenes are her and some are inserts. As for Maria Forsa, she was known (at least by rumors) for filming HC but only allowing (contractually) SC versions to be released. The HC inserts were hers a lot of the time (extra $$$), but with no face shots to preserve deniability. Butterflies and either Molly or Bel Ami (I can't remember) were a notable exception because she was dating the actor IRL, they decided to go for it and some footage "slipped" (again, I could be messing up the details).
Remember that these were times before the internet, big screens and digital manipulations. When an actress did a softcore film, or a HC one with decent enough editing, she could be pretty sure no one she knows will ever see the naughty bits or could discern she was actually doing it on screen. As for the hardcore version - they were much more difficult to obtain without the internet and home videos, and should "dear old dad" somehow hear about or see the HC version, the lack of face shots supports the "I had nothing to do with it" claim.

I pretty much agree with what's been said in general regarding the classic versions and their possible grafts decades later. And if we're talking about "Butterflies" (1975) by the great Sarno, there are undoubtedly shots in which the wonderful Forså engages in hardcore sex (including anal) with her partner at the time, the porn star Eric Edwards. There are a couple of sequence shots from the classic version that corroborate this statement. It's one of the few films in which our sweet Marie irrefutably appears in all her fornicating splendor. She's usually seen naked, shamelessly displaying tremulous flesh, even eating fish or sirloin, but rarely in an explicit insertion shot with her face included. The film "Flossie" (1974) by the indescribable Mac Ahlberg, in its explicit version, is an example of what I've said.

Could you tell me which scene is private shot and wich is insert ? I guess the first blowjob would be private and final fucking would be insert ? I would be surprised that the blowjob's close up was a private shot because it seems perfectly integrated in the scene.
