A non-body double scene is always better, but I doesn't ruin it for me when it is. What I can say is an explicit body double scene is far better than the continuous nothingness. All the known or expect known films with explicit scenes are either impossible to find or in release limbo.

It's tricky to shoot a film that includes an explicit sex scene, and it's not easy to find (non-pornographic) actors willing to go that far.

Showing yourself completely naked (including your genitals) is tricky.

Making love with someone is an intimate act, and not everyone is ready to show themselves on screen in such an intimate act.

That's why so few projects are completed.

I often use this example, but the French film "chronique sexuelle d'une famille d'aujourd'hui" is a good example to follow. The film's purpose is relevant, of course, the scenes could have been simulated, but the fact that it's real adds even more relevance to the film's purpose.

And they've done it right, shooting with a very small technical crew during the sex scenes. On the other hand, most of the actors have done porn. It's a miracle they found actors who aren't from the porn industry for the iconic first time scene.

Out of curiosity, I read the comments of Internet users about the scene and most of the comments were complimentary, the Internet users indicated that the scene was very beautiful, that the scene was sweet and innocent and natural, that the actors were cute, that it was different from porn. And it was rare to find insulting comments; nobody called the actress a slut, for example.

And I agree with the people on the Internet: there's nothing degrading about shooting a beautiful, explicit scene.

The movie was released in 15+ and 18+ versions.

Given that the only explicit shot is just a few seconds long, I think the only reason to include it was to attract attention in social media. Many people will become aware of the movie only because of this.

I think that explicit sex in a non-pornographic film continues and will continue to be taboo, not so much because of the supposed "intimacy" of the act (when you act there can be no intimacy, you are working), but because of simple social conventions that still do not accept explicit sex as something natural, while the screens of half the world openly accept violence and political pornography, something truly degrading that we assume without the slightest critical spirit.

Do not denigrate my words, let's discuss them in harmony.

I was just sharing my personal point of view. And I think you understood my point very well.

I wanted to say that in absolute terms this remains an “intimate” act. It is not a trivial act like shopping at the store. Non-porn actors show themselves in an intimate act and unfortunately, it wouldn't surprise me if sometimes the actors later regret accepting the project. We must then assume the scene, because once the film is released, the scene will remain on the Internet for life. Nothing disappears from the Internet.

Yes, in absolute, for a person who does porn, sex, for her, is her job.

Precisely, that's the distinction I made, in a mainstream film an explicit sex scene is not as easy to edit as in a porno. Casting takes forever, it may never even happen.

The actors talk a lot before the scenes, to take the example of the “first time” scene. The day before the scene was filmed, the actors spoke for several hours to exchange their points of view.

Of course, the actors are not in love, it is sex without feeling, however, the directors wanted the most natural scene possible, they did not want mechanical sex. To do this, on the day of filming, the technical team was very small to make things easier. Lots of discussions before filming.

And I think the directors did their job very well. And precisely, that's what makes the scene interesting, it's the fact that these are not porn actors and the fact that it's not mechanical sex, mechanical sex, there are plenty of them on the internet. And I suppose that the directors would have preferred that the entire cast were non-pornographic actors, but it is clear that they could not do otherwise. It's already a miracle that one of the acting duos doesn't come from porn.

I had a friend, his family works in cinema (in France) and they told me the story of a gay short film and it was supposed to have an explicit gay scene and the casting was very complicated! the director didn't want a porn actor. It took them a long time to complete the casting and ultimately the project never saw the light of day, with many setbacks.

Yes, I also think that explicit sex in cinema will remain taboo, but I also think that in 90% of films it is not necessary.
