I'm sorry if this isn't something that is acceptable to post. I figure since it's off-topic I would ask. I'm a filmmaker. However, I've done other peoples movies. Never my own. I've been wanting to do my own films and I have a series that i've written. I'm looking to do romance/erotic, but how do these filmmakers even find the actresses or models? They have some of the hottest and young girls who not only do full nude or strong sex, but also explicit/unsimulated stuff. I wonder how to even find these models/actresses.

I'm by no means an expert. However: from what I've read there are several options. None of them are easy - there is a good reason why there's so few movies like that. To sum up what I know:
- If you're famous enough (and \ or have a hugh budget) you can get famous actresses to do these scenes because they know you, trust you, and sometimes because you pay really well. Think Gaspar Noe, Lars von Trier, "The River of Fundament", ... You need to had previously worked with them or with someone they know to good results.
- If you're a film student, or have access to film schools, you can ask around and maybe post an ad at the school. Many arthouse films started that way: a group of edgy students and an actress among them willing to go the extra mile. This however is extremely situational.
- The "friends & family" route: get someone you know and that trust you enough. A lot of young director cast their wives, girlfriends, childhood friends or sisters (Curt McDowell, "Thundercrack!",
but she was cute). This is a valid approach for low-budget films, but can go south very fast and in many different ways. - Craigslist. You will get weirdos, drug addicts, prostitutes and the like (or no one at all). Also, amateurs do not always make the greatest actresses and they do not always go through with it.
- What most modern productions do: contact an escort agency \ porn producer and pay for, ehm..., professional models. Costly, and will not provide "real" actresses, but you will get relatively pretty models willing to go all the way. At least at one occasion in the past this method was used for a big budget real film ("Caligula" using Penthouse models under Tinto Brass and Bob Guccione).
Yes I am. It's more difficult than just contacting an agency. Agencies are kind of weary of filmmakers trying to cast their talent for nudes, sex, or explicit. There are adult agencies, but i'm interested in non-adult actresses and models. That's why I'm posting this because it hasn't been easy.
