This movie is an amazing movie, depicting intense varied emotions. It encapsulates liberation and freedom along with spirituality which is so much the essence of humanity. I found the sex to be so much a natural part, yet which is so often regarded as 'unnatural'to show in our society. The movie really teaches one to get in touch with his own spirituality instead of the dogma we have created for ourselves. A really powerful and enchanting movie, added by the superb acting by Shari Solanis - an actor with unparell emotional appeal. All in all, a must watch movie with kudos to the director and producer and the rest of the cast as well. Definitely 10 points - more if possible.

Angela points out to Bill that his problems were caused by the American way of life. For Angela, who migrated to the States from Nicaragua, a country that had been devastated by civil war, every thing she had or was given was deeply appreciated. As a child, she had very little: the Contras had killed her parents and her grandmother raised her. For Angela, the American way of life - always running, running after more money to buy more things and paying more bills - seemed so disconnected from living. She tells Bill that, "rather than enjoying what you had, you killed yourself for the future." For Angela, sex is another way to live in the now. Bill, raised in a traditional family where desires were hidden, had sex with his wife once a week and stopped masturbating in college because he felt it was childish. Angela, on the other hand, believes there is no reason not to find pleasure wherever she can. She wants to enjoy life as much as possible, and finds the greatest physical joy in life is through sex. This German "mondo" movie has a TV host (Esther Moser) narrating and introducing various sexual acts from around the world. This includes S&M acts, a class teaching masturbation, a man who likes to pretend to be a baby and getting spanked by his mother and various other naughty tales. For years it was believed that producer Erwin C. Dietrich had directed this film but then it came out that Jess Franco was the one behind the camera but I must admit that I'm not totally sure how true that is. I guess we'll never know but there's not too much here that reminds me of Franco's style, although there are many experts out there who say this is no doubt his work. This film is also known as IN *) BETTEN UM DIE WELT, which translates to AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 BEDS. As you can tell, this here is pretty much just another "mondo" movie but overall I thought it was fairly disappointing and it certainly didn't match Franco's VIRGIN REPORT.
The biggest problem with this film is that none of the stories are all that interesting. There's certainly not horrid stories but they're not funny, erotic and none of them are all that entertaining to the point where anyone, outside of Franco die-hards, need to check this out. I guess the most interesting is the very first one, which has a woman tied to up a wooden cross where she's going to be tortured and killed in the name of Satan. This cross and the entire set-up looks exactly like the "show" put on in Franco's EXORCISM. Another mildly entertaining segment deals with a female teacher who is giving a masturbation class and tries to get one "troubled" student the proper lessons.

No, I didn't like the movie as I already have four different copies in four languages. This is so-called B-movie which in translation means you have to spend another couple weeks trying have other flicks with same actors and then its snowballing and finally you realize you are lucky not to watch mainstream nonsense. Lets see--main chick has something you want but producer don't wanna show so you dig into biography and chick is into porno and you have to have it to have complete picture--yes, you claim its research, then you pay attention to movie and producer and find out that this flick was the only one with word decent. Then you pay attention to flick itself and ask why the heck he produce it this way and not another. Etc. Finally you look for blu ray edition and its not waiting. Whatever. World still rotates in same direction.
