Not to discount the good work put into these post but do we think it'd be better for porn watch scenes to have their own section or tag? I don't think a scene with characters watching a generic porno is on the same level as a scene where characters engage in explicit sexual acts or contains explicit nudity. If a characters are also engaging in explicit sexual acts or showing explicit nudity, in a porn watch scene, that's a different story.

Again not to discount the good work put into these, but it's a little annoying to get excited for new post for it to just be a porn watch scene. I know these scenes are for some but for myself and I'm betting others, it's personally not for us. Simply it should just be easier to differentiate between explicit porn watch scene and normal explicit scenes.

One last time sorry if this comes off as rude, not meant to be. Any one contributing to the content on this site deserve praise regardless some members personal tastes.

I agree with you, movies with porn watch scenes should be separated from movies with explicit scenes. I still believe that such films can be classified as films with explicit scenes, because there are films with porn watch scenes without explicit shots. I report the type of explicit scenes so as not to confuse anyone.

I totally agree, mainstream explicit means only one thing which is mainstream actors and actresses performing unstimulated sex scenes.
Porn watch is not explicit mainstream sex scenes!

Only a few hundred movies meet your definition, most of which are on the forum, such as Antichrist(2009) or Diavolo in corpo(1986). Most shorts from Vimeo do not meet this definition. Most movies from the 70s and 80s are just softcore or classic hardcore, such as movies from Walerian Borowczyk and Joe D'Amato or Day-Dream(1981). Most popular movies such as All About Anna(2004) or Schnick Schnack Schnuck(2015) are just porn. This discussion is endless.

My friend it's not that complex, any scene that includes unstimulated sex acts that are performed by a professional porn actresses/ actors doesn't fall under "explicit mainstream".
All about Anna has Gry Bay who is a known singer so it belongs to explicit mainstream.
It's all about the actors performing the scenes, if they are or at least one of them is a main stream actor/actress/singer/model etc..
Then it's mainstream (doesn't include leaks).
And I agree that the productions that meet this definition are not many but this doesn't mean that we call a porn film a mainstream.

In this case Caligola(1979), The Pornographer(2001), Antichrist(2009), Nymphomaniac(2013) are not "explicit mainstream", because all unsimulated sex scenes in in these movies performed by a professional porn actresses (in Trier's films using CGI).
"All about Anna" is "porn for women", like others productions from Innocent Pictures such as Constance (1998), Pink Prison (1999). Constance was the first hardcore pornographic film ever to have been produced by an established mainstream film studio. Katja Kean who starred in this film is a Danish former pornographic actress, businesswoman, actress, singer, author. In this case Constance is "explicit mainstream".
So it's not that simple, my friend.

Yes, any scenes in a mainstream film that includes sex acts performed by professional porn actors doesn't count as explicit mainstream...
The problem here that you define by type of the film while I define based on who actually performed the sex scenes.
If the mainstream has unstimulated sex scenes performed by porn actors then the film is explicit but the scenes are just regular porn scenes inserted in a mainstream...
Let me ask you as a member of this forum, if you see a porn actress in a mainstream movie performing as usual! Is this going to be exciting or appealing to you?? What is the difference ?? Now look at something like 9 Songs for instance, it's almost porn but the main difference is that Margo Stilley is not a porn star, this why everyone knows this film..
Imagine if we replace her and the actor too with 2 porn stars, will people care for this movie as much??
As for "porn for women", porn is porn even with artistic touche and some kind of a storyline! The main factor remain the same who is performing the sex scenes?
If you remember in Brazil they had this TV actress and model called Laila Lopes she made 2 or 3 porn movies and it was pure porn but everywhere you will find her scenes from these movies under mainstream or star scandals because even though it was porn but she was a mian stream actress.
Anyways I don't mean to upset anyone just expressing what I believe ...
Have a nice day...

I understand your point of view. That is why we are looking for porn films featuring famous actresses. This is the difficulty of defining a "mainstream actress". Then Sasha Gray's porn films can be considered "explicit mainstream", because now Sasha Gray is filming in mainstream films.
In my understanding of the "explicit mainstream" issue, the determining factor is the type of film, regardless of who is playing in explicit scenes.
In any case, this is only my subjective point of view.
Have a nice day too.

I agree with both @Petr_1988 and @good_guy that this sort of film is hard to define. This is why it was decided(-ish) that this forum distinguishes between explicitness levels by what we see (or at least pretty sure we see) and between porn and mainstream based on common conception (porn = "I know it when I see it"). We normally don't consider whether the actual performer of the scene is a "mainstream actress" or a "porn star", if only because such titles may only be a matter of time. Therefore, a porn watching scene in mainstream is considered "Unsimulated Sex in Mainstream" and do belong here, especially when the poster warns about it in the post's body.

However, I can also accept that some members do make this distinction. I suggest, to make posts more helpful in the future, to add a new prefix to threads titled "Pornstars" or something similar and use it to label cases where the explicitness is visibly done by pros (not mere body doubles). We can also add a "Body-Doubles" prefix for the other case.

@mammos, what do you think? Can you please add this (I don't know how)?

It would be helpful what the presenter suggested sowbb, I hope the discussions will stop, I enjoy every post here and am grateful to all who put their wonderful post here, and for me it does not matter if professionals or actors are in mainstreams, the main thing is it entertains me.
Thank you all for your great work,
and sorry that my English is not so good.

Agree...It's not that easy

At what point does a movie with hardcore scenes become XXX porn? Is "All about Anna" a mainstream movie with hardcore scenes or just porn with mainstream actors?
At what point does a mainstream actress that does hardcore become a porn actress? Kelli McCarty had a one time hardcore role in Faithless (2009) and has since went back to just mainstream. Is she a porn actress? As Faithless was a XXX movie, she was for that film. However, knowing that it was a one-time role it was still a turn-on for me.
Some of the "porn watch" videos might actually be filmed by the producers to avoid any copyright issues, so who's to know what's what?

Different strokes for different folks...why self-censor "iffy" posts as long as this stuff doesn't get out of hand since finding explicit scenes are a rarity. I would just put a label on it and leave it up to the viewer.
